Overview
DrillLoop (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a practice tool for musicians. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
Information We Collect
Content You Create
- Videos and audio files you import from your device
- A-B loop segments you create (name, timestamps, playback speed, notes)
- Practice session records (duration, date, associated content)
- Custom reminder settings you configure
App Preferences
- Language preference
- Weekly practice goal
- Membership and subscription status
- Whether iCloud sync is enabled
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services
- We do not track your behavior across apps or websites
- We do not access your camera or microphone
How Your Data Is Stored
On-Device Storage
All your content — media files, segments, and practice records — is stored locally on your device by default using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
iCloud Sync (Pro feature)
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud private database (CloudKit). This data is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to you via your Apple ID. We have no access to your iCloud data. Disabling sync or deleting the app from all devices will remove data from iCloud accordingly.
Push Notifications
If you enable practice reminders, the App will request permission to send push notifications. Notification scheduling happens on-device. We do not use push notifications for marketing or promotions.
Photo Library Access
The App requests read access to your photo library solely to let you select videos and audio files to import. We do not upload, scan, or analyze your photo library in any way beyond what you explicitly select.
Purchases and Subscriptions
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Subscription management (upgrades, cancellations, refunds) is handled through your Apple ID settings.
Children's Privacy
DrillLoop does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
